Yoder To Sell Mum, Aster Business to Syngenta About a week after announcing plans to acquire Goldsmith Seeds Inc., Syngenta Flowers said Oct. 29 it has signed an agreement to buy the pot and garden chrysanthemum and aster business — and brand name — of Yoder Brothers Inc.
"This targeted acquisition significantly strengthens our proprietary flower cuttings portfolio and broadens our offer to growers with two new crops," Robert Berendes, head of business development at Syngenta, said via press release. "The Yoder brand is highly recognized in the flower industry and their chrysanthemums and asters stand for top-quality genetics."
