Floriculture Crops’ Wholesale Value Up |

The wholesale value of floriculture crops last year inched
ahead 1 percent from 2004, according to the The U.S. Department of
Agriculture’s (USDA) 2005 Floriculture Crops Summary. The total crop value at
wholesale from growers with $10,000 or more in sales was about $5.36 billion
for 2005, compared to $5.28 billion for 2004.The number of U.S.
growers with sales of $100,000 or more was down 4 percent to 4,412 for 2005.
