Paul Ecke III of Paul Ecke Ranch in Encinitas, Calif., got it in his head about four years ago that it might be amusing to present one of the 8- to 12-foot poinsettia trees he grows around Christmas to California's towering Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. This year, he finally realized his vision.
