Get practical advice to help you during your visits on Capitol Hill on Tuesday.
Birnbaum joined The Washington Times 2008. Formerly, he was an award-winning author, television commentator, and a columnist for the Washington Post. On television he is a political analyst for Fox News Channel and is a regular panelist on PBS’s Washington Week. On radio, he serves as a commentator for the national business show, Marketplace, appears frequently on Fox News Radio as a political analyst and comments every Monday morning on WBZ radio in Boston.

A New York Fire Department battalion commander on Sept. 11, 2001, Fire
Chief Richard “Pitch” Picciotto played a vital role in the massive
emergency response on that day. When the North Tower collapsed, he was
buried in the rubble for more than four hours and was the last fireman
to escape, Picciotto describes the harrowing scene and amazing acts of
bravery in his best-selling book, “Last Man Down.” His presentation
will celebrate life and the heroic efforts of the first responders who
were with him.

Visit your representative and senators — they’re expecting you! SAF arranges congressional appointments for you unless you prefer to make
your own. Remember, others from your state will join you for these
meetings, and if you’ve never lobbied, we’ll make sure an experienced
member or someone from the SAF staff is there with you as you tell your
story. It’s fun, and SAF provides you with everything you need —
including talking points, schedules, maps and directions.

Need to take a break? Telephones, sofas, chairs, soft drinks and snacks
will be available at this nearby private club. Use it as a rendezvous
location to meet with other SAF members as you make your voices heard
