The Affordable Care Act — A Basic Overview
On March 23, 2010, President Barack Obama signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act into law. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) aims to expand health insurance coverage by changing legal requirements for individuals and employers. These changes generally go into effect on January 1, 2014.
